Vegan Paradice, La Cruz Huanacaxtle, Mexico

I had so much fun playing with ice cream and other vegan treats for this colorful shoot in La Cruz Huanacaxtle, Mexico! I shot a selection of the savory menu at Vegan Paradice followed by a selection of sweets. For the toasts and sandwiches, I let the colorful plating be the star. I opted for a marble background, limited props, and dramatic shadows to accentuate these beautiful dishes and to make those bright veggies pop!

For the second half of the shoot, we focused on a selection of vegan ice creams and sweets. I brought a few pastel backdrops to compliment the pastel pink exterior of the restaurant. I also brought iridescent paper that we used to create fun shadows and highlights on the set. I really wanted to capture the playful nature of this adorable vegan restaurant and ice cream shop so we sprinkled sprinkles, crumbled cookies, and let the ice cream get a little messy!

This set of photos is a great example of what you can expect from a half day vegan restaurant photoshoot with me.
